Stockdale Annex Mutual Water Company was established in 1955 to service the Olde Stockdale neighborhood and Stockdale Country Club. The company has grown to service 143 connections in 2018 and continues to realize steady growth in revenues and capital reserves to the present. The water supply and distribution systems are estimated to be built circa 1937, with expansions to service new customers as the neighborhood grew. The pumps at both wells (north and south) are electrically powered with an automatic back-up generator to ensure service in case of a power outage. The south well acts as the systems back up well and both are monthly monitored for bacterial count and standing water levels as well as annual draw down levels. All of our water supply comes from ground water and usually requires some form of treatment. Each well has small amounts of chlorine added to the water to ensure its quality remains good all the way to your tap. The company, its board and management company have worked hard in recent years to increase capital reserves for future improvement projects and emergency repair needs. The company is committed to water conservation and has put forth rigorous effort to inform its customers of new conservation policy to meet current state conservation standards. The system is getting old and we continue to evaluate long term planning strategies to ensure the continuity of the systems and its water quality. We look forward to meeting your water needs for many years to come and are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year to serve our community.
